Monday it was 77. Windows open enjoying the fresh air. Bird talking about out playing golf. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Yesterday it was 19. This morning it is supposed to be mid to low teens. /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif This weekend supposed to be back up in the mid 50s. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif This time of year the record lows run in the single digits (with a rare minus thrown in). Record highs run in the 80s. It's a wonder we don't spend the whole winter sick.

I know what you mean but I sure am looking forward to Tuesday when it is supposed to be back in the 70's. I was thinking about taking off work and see if I could find which golf course Bird was attending /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif.

Yep, Randy, it was 70 degrees Monday when we played cow pasture golf; I won't name the golf course, and had never been there before but it was rough (east of Waco). It's 19 degrees this morning./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif However, I see one forecast for 70 Tuesday and one for 75, and that's my birthday; may have to try to play a round at Lake Park Golf Course here in Lewisville./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Happy Birthday Bird!!!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Here in sunny tropical South Carolina we woke up to 8 inches of the fluffy white stuff and temps in the teens. It wouldn't have been so bad were it not for the ice that had formed under the snow. There were over 100 accidents by people who didn't heed the advice to stay off the roads which they are again saying for today. Tragically, a paramedic lost both legs when a truck ran into the scene of an accident yesterday afternoon. Now I'm from Detroit and driving on snow isn't a problem, but when it covers ice.......forget it!!!! We're spending our second day snug in the house.

Well happy birthday Bird! Hope you have a great one /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Can't say the same for our weather up here. 12 degrees this morning. I plowed off about six inches last night (yeah, tractor time) and there was another couple this morning. Not exactly golf weather /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

hmmm up here in lower Michigan had a low yesterday of 0, windchill -14 and a high of 19 today we started out at 17. How do you guys stand all that heat! I was thinking of golfing to but darn it, my golf shirts are in the wash and I just can't go not dressed propperly, maybe jogging..nah that won't work either. I'll just get my daily exercise scaping the windows off on the suburban.

Cheer
Tony

Can't figure out how to put those smiley thing in the post cuz it would have had at least one!

Sure Bird, rub it in! /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

OTOH, you did your time.. you deserve the rewards. Enjoy them in good health, my friend!

BTW, I gather you are a former Police Captain? Thanks for what you've done.. I would expect someone with that background to be cynical, and maybe a tad angry. You show none of this.. all of your posts I've ever seen are upbeat and encouraging and, most of all helpful! If you want to, and I know this is being nosy, could you describe what it feels like to have done the work you've done? I know it can't have been easy!

Disregard the above if you don't want to talk about it. It's just my ever-inquisitive nature to ask such things.. to wonder how people deal with the dichotomies of their lives...

Best, and thanks for all the help you've given me!

Bob
