I am looking for an inexpensive way to get into AC/DC tig welding. I do not want to spend red or blue money on a welder as I have several other hobbies. Can any one point me in the right direction between these two welder (AHP Tig 200x or Everlast PowerTig 185DV)?
The AHP seems to have more features with a significant price difference. Am I wasting time by considering the Everlast due to price and features? Like I said, I am a hobby welder with 3 boys that are very hard on their off road toys and other things.
My previous welding experience includes an 8 week welding program I did with Local 636 piperfitters. All of this was GMAW (Arc) for preparation to open root weld pipe with 6010 and 7018. I also have personal experience with a low dollar mig welder I have been using for the past 20 years for various projects.
Thanks for all the info
