Air filter

Any one have a source to get the inner and outer air filters online? I'm sure there is a fram or k and n or something that will surely fit other than from ventrac. I'm not opposed to buying from the dealer but would much rather order online and have it shipped to my door. Everywhere I've looked doesn't offer ventrac as a manufacturer.

If yours is not a Z, then just follow the look-up steps. Amazon and other sites sell them and local suppliers too. Now, if you can come up with numbers for the actual make and model of hydraulic filters, then you tell us.

You are most welcome. Please note that these are the filters used on my Model 4500Y. I think that the other variants of the 4500 series use them, but cannot say with certainty.

Using the link that zmountaineer has provided, here are the Wix Filters available for the 4500Y, which uses the Kubota Type D902 Diesel Engine:

Engine Oil Filter: Wix 51365

Fuel Filter for the Racor Water Separator adjacent to the Diesel Engine: Wix 33583

Outer Air Filter: Wix 46438

Inner Air Filter: Wix 42985

I have not used the Wix Air Filters, at least not to date. I got spare Donaldson filters from my Ventrac dealer when I acquired my 4500Y two years ago this month, and I am on my second outer filter now.

The Donaldson P821575 and the Donaldson P822858 are for the Donaldson FPG05 Air Cleaner assembly.

I have not tried the Wix fuel filter for the Racor Water Separator, so I cannot say from personal experience that this Wix 33583 Filter will fit properly.

The Wix web page listing the filters for the Model 4500Y does not include a Wix replacement for the in-line fuel filter that mounts below the fuel tank. The Kubota original is No. 12581-43012. Replacements include Napa Gold No. 3972 and CarQuest 86032. The Napa Gold filter has a transparent body, like the Kubota original. The CarQuest replacement filter has a metal body, so it is not transparent.

I believe that the Napa Gold and CarQuest filters are rebadged Wix products.

Wix 33972 appears to be the Wix replacement for the in-line fuel filter for both the 4500Y and the 4500Z, and presumably also for the 4500K and the 4500P variants.

Drop shipping from Ventrac at full retail plus shipping, or a modest discount and free shipping from Amazon. I use the rear discharge contour mower and it is tough on that outer air filter, not to mention the radiator grid.

I didn't realize they were available on amazon. I found them there after I realized what the part number was. I originally looked for wix distributors near me and was going to go that route when I had the time. The only reason I'm asking about the air filters is I opened up the cleaner and there was a bunch of debris in there. I shook off the outter but want to have one on hand. I like to have back ups. And back ups of back ups. I absolutely HATE not having something that I need. If I can get some extra belts for the 2 mowers I'm going to get them as well. I figure it would be easy enough to take the ones that are on them into napa and match them up. I already have one spare tire and will probably add another one.

Anything anyone can think of that would be good to have on hand, in open to suggestions. I love back ups.
