I have two compressors. Both have the same type hoses, the 3/8" typically hose. Doesn't kink, but will tangle and twist.
One the bigger compressor, I use for airing tires, impact work, and that hose I have coiled over an old rim...it's fine. I can live with it.
On the other, it's on a pancake compressor I use for nailers, air sprayer for clean up in wood working areas, etc. I also will move this pancake compressor at times for airing a tire outside of the barn etc. That hose is an issue. I generally have it laying out, and it can become tangled and is a tripping hazard. I came very close to taking a hard fall today. Made me realize I need to change this.
Not sure I want a hose reel. The good one too expensive. The cheap ones will leak. Research shows primarily flexeel or flexzilla are what many use. What's everyone's opinion on the hose they would use for this purpose. I may very well want to go with a shorter hose to.
On edit:....for my purpose also think 1/4" hose probably would work giving how I use, and hoping that would give some flexibility here too.
