Anyway, did it turn over? Maybe a Battery Tender to keep the battery topped off might help you?

That was actual temperature. We get little wind so that helps.
The coldest I have been out was 52 below, that was cold.
I have a block heater on the hydraulic tank but nothing else. The engine turned over ok but would not catch. In the future I will put a light bulb under the engine and cover top of engine with blanket.

I believe -5 or -10 was the coldest I ever attempted to start mine, Paul. Full choke, half throttle, then turn the key = almost instant starting. Hopefully, I'll never see the real cold like you get. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

With small gas engines, I find that in really cold weather, if it doesn't fire after about 5 seconds there's a pretty good chance, it isn't going to start, so I stop cranking. I don't know about anyone else, but I've always used starting fluid on small gas engines if it won't fire up after the first attemp in really cold weather. Just a small shot in the air cleaner and off it goes.
