I think we all need to thank our dealers for the service and parts they stock for our Yanmars. UTDA additions to my Yanmar from LMTC just might have saved me from a serious injury recently. I had never given a thought about an overrun clutch flying apart as it did. Our old Ford 8N had an overrun clutch but it set back farther behind the operator seat and if it came apart I doubt if it would have hit me. However, the Yanmar 1610D I use now it was almost right under my chin as I looked backward going up a hill.
So if you guys that do not have a shield (and ROPS) on your Yanmar please support LMTC or your dealer with an order for such, his parts selection is super and shipping is fast even clear out in the boonies of WV! Again, thanks Wayne for being a UTDA member and mandating those standards, those additions to my Yanmar did their job in preventing an injury.
