Yep, I go out yesterday and all I get is a "buzz". It's been about a year since I cleaned the terminals, so I removed that black coating, put the jumpers on and it fired up. I ran it for about two hrs before shutting down and no problem after that. The battery is original from summer of '08....so I guess it is getting time for a new one.

My battery is a 2006. I'm sure I'm on borrowed time. I do keep mine on a battery tender all the time. Started right up last week.

I may be in the same situation. Mine is a 2007 and has always started immediately but for the first time it did not catch instantly the last time I used it. It was cold and started on the second try but my gut says I'll be ready for a new battery soon too.

Most battery in a car last 5 years average, tractors not much different ,although a battery tender will increase life.

I must have got a real good battery back in 2005 when my dealer dropped off the tractor. It never sees a battery tender and some times will go 3-6 weeks without use. My car batteries never seem to go more than 3-5 years either, I'm sure it will fail on me at the worse possible time. Isn't that how it goes...

My D-max oem's lasted 7 years....might have gone longer if not for the -38C in Manitoba for X-mas.
