Allis Chalmers 5020: Decent Tractor? - Parts Available?

I've been looking for a smaller used farm tractor and came across this AC model 5020.

Does this look like a decent tractor for $3K?
Are parts readily available for Allis Chalmers tractors?

The 5020s and 5030s were built in the early 80s by Hinomoto in Japan. The 5020 has a Toyosha 2 cylinder diesel engine that's around 20-25 HP. Even though Allis-Chalmers was popular in this area, our dealer never sold one. The dealer in the next county sold one or two, but I never heard any reaction to them. With the way Allis-Chalmers has been bought and resold and consolidated, I'd check around for parts availabilty before I'd look much further.

I have owned one since 84, bought it new,,, good machine for it's time. Nothing fancy by today's standard,, I have always gotten parts from Agco, so far.

For $3k, mower, and a recent rebuild (that can be verified) I'd do it if it's what you're looking for.


This tractor is a better bet than a lot of the Belarus 250s with low hours that you find in the same price range on eBay and Craigs.
