Just informed that one of our local counties is in a bind for show pigs and are looking at lowering the initial weigh in requirements. We were thinking we missed the boat for this county now we are getting calls for piglets as small as twenty pounds. Woohoo!

Our little porkers are averaging twenty to thirty pounds right now, so we are in the market. Looks like we may be getting rid of a lot of them a lot sooner. That means less feed, quicker return on our investment. Now preperation activities have swung into over drive, banding tails, castrations, worm shots, so on, so I may be kind of scarce for a few days. But, when I return, hopefully I will have some foldin' money! Ya'll be safe and take care.

Just a couple testicles and a few internal parasites. Oh, and a couple inches of tail, and I wouldn't be doing that if there wasn't this weird preconceived notion that it has to be done for show pigs.
