Almost a white Christmas

The weather forecast for this Thursday is for 13 inches of snow. Since I lived here in the desert for the last 20 years we have had 3 storms that dropped 12inches or more. I better get the back blade on the tractor in case I have to plow my way out.

The last large storm we had just a year ago collapsed my cold frame. Gonna add additional temporary bracing today to the new one.

Not gonna happen again!

Hit 74 today. Not sure what it's like to have snow for Christmas, I was in shorts and a T shirt today.

We are about to wash away over here. Still only 3-4 days with frost early on. Still in upper 30s to 40s.

I've heard that the "west side" has been blessed with quite a bit of rain. My rain gauge starts a "new year" on Oct 1. Since Oct 1 I've had 2 1/2" of rain.

Well - we got exactly one inch of really fluffy snow this AM. It's moving to the NE so the N ID fellows should be seeing snow soon.

Snow just about gone here. Sure is nice not to have to move any. Devote that time and enegy to other tasks.

Freezing rain in the forecast. Always good for the Body Shops.

It's been warm over a week, and we still have snow. Ice to walk on. All the GOOD STUFF ... !!!! If ya want some, send me an addressed/stamped envelope and you can have all I have. I don't mind winter, but this in between icy stuff is not much fun. I don't heal as fast as I used to.....

Over a foot in Mojave..... not what I'd expect !

Watch those frames...... plenty of incidents up here with similar structures (temporary garages). My sister ended up with a 4" roof-dent in a Corolla under one, and there have been people suffocated in a collapse.
