If you guys remember the other forum a few weeks ago I was looking for a belly mower for the like new (117 original hour) B7200 Well I got tired of hunting and of course impatient and decided to build something out of what I had here. My tractor was never equipped with a belly mower so first I took the front pto assembly with reversed drop box off of my fathers b8200 tractor. Second I located a b8200Hydro deck(just as nice as my tractor never used and stored indoors) not too far away. through some close research and measurement I figured out that the actual mounts on the RC60-72 and Rc60-82H are with in MMs So I used this. I didn't want to mess with building the four mount brackets so I bought four new from kubota dealer. I reversed the gearbox and was able to take the drive shaft off of that tractor and cutt it off at the base and take the one we have here from a Rc60-25 and cut it to size and weld it in place. If you very carefully cut the welds off at the base of the shaft it willfall out and give you a place to insert the new shaft to be welded and have a nice straight balanced shaft again, but this time the right length. I was able to modify the brackets I got with theh mower deck to fit my application. I took my time here and tack this and tried that. I didnot want any tension or wear points when the mower deck was installed. I then Took all my pieces in fabbed into our body shop and finshed the welds and primed and used XoXo orange paint. It is amazing how close the orange paint is to my older but still shiny B7200. The only mods I have left are I have to finish the install on my front pto drop box. I had a hard time holding the unit and stepping the drill to the proper size. Pinched drill bit and blood shed and of course a little $&#*$& I decided to wait until tomorrow until I can put into vice. One I finish this I should Be able to try it out and then move on to the install of power steering. Thanks.
