Almost got broad sided, where to find a rear view mirror?

Was going down rural road to load an large air compressor for a friend. I stopped at 4 way stop with no one behind me. I proceeded down the road 5 houses to make a left into my friends driveway. Glancing over my left shoulder I did not see anyone, I slowed to make the left turn only to hear the screeching of tires. Seems Speed Racer came from out of no where in a big hurry to pass me, it was a close call..

I have searched a bit with no luck, where can I purchase a convex mirror I can mount overhead on the sun canopy?

WOW! You saw the Mach 5! Did he hit the button on the steering wheel so that the Mach 5 jumped over you?

Seriously. Glad there was not an accident. Saw one this week were three or four cars hit each other. The only thing I can figure is someone tried to pass and did not make it or someone came over the line.

Looked like the demo derby at the fair.

The thing I really like about my F350 is the big towing mirrors. The bottom mirror is convex and it really helps seeing the people behind me.

I got my mirror from the net. Cannot remember exactly but it was very cheap.. Mounted it to the roof of my cab... Can't say I use it like my car mirror because it is so high but it still works well...

A good google search will turn up what you are looking for. Sorry I cannot think of who I purchased it from...

I was driving down A rural 2 lane road going to work the other morning there was a slower ( I mean driving speed limit) moving car about ten cars ahead of me so he was backing traffic up a little. I'm in no hurry at 6 am so I just go with the flow but this A-HOLE in a toytoa pick up must have been in a big hurry because I watched him in my rear view mirror passing groups of cars behind me then he was behind me and passed me and the ten cars in front of me He drove in the oncoming traffic lane for about a 1/4 mile ignoring the double yellow lines for a good 200-300 yards and finally got over just at the top of the hill. I cringe to think what would have happened if someone would of been coming the other way. Then once we got into town he was at a red light only two cars in front of me what a poop #%&!

We get our Mirrors from our local Napa. The round mirror with a convex shape that you mention is called a spot mirror, and they come in variouse sizes and mounting configurations. We run 8 inch spot mirrors on our mowing tractors. The large flat rectangular mirrors are called west coast mirrors and are also available at Napa. We have begun running these in the middle front of the canopy mounted horizontaly to act as a rear veiw mirror in adition to the 8 inch spots mounted on the right front corner of the canopy. The only bad thing about canopy mounting that we have found is that the mirrors are useless at idle or slow engine speeds due to the amount of vibration they exhibit. Once the engine speed increases to or beyond say 1000 rpm, they work great. Hope this helps.
