I have been going around in circles for a couple years between a skid steer,
a 4x4 diesel tractor and a Power Trac.
I have came close to buying a tractor because I like the availability and price on the 3 point hitch attachments.
Have also came close to buying a used skid steer because of price and they move dirt quickly.
Now I am close to buying a new 2430 because of price and the backhoe.
I can buy one with a bucket and backhoe(with the free backhoe deal they have on) for $18,000.
A backhoe is something I want to get on whatever I buy,
so I am thinking the Power Trac might be the best way to go.

So I am open to any comments to help my choice.

thanks

I think the main question you have is can you do the maintenance yourself or do you have someone locally who can work on the PT. If you answer no to both of these then get something else. Otherwise go with the PT. It has tremendous flexibility and easy (very easy) to change attachments. I guess you have seen a lot of post on this site about the PT. Your questions have probably been answered many times. You should find someone near you who has a PT and they will probably let you try it.

How is $18,000 for a price for a 2430 with a backhoe and bucket?
I haven't followed their past pricing.
It seemed unusual that they were giving a $3800
backhoe option for free.
