Well, I am leaving before dawn on Wednesday to head for Tazewell and pick up the new 425. Not that I am excited or anything. Anyone have any good tips for things to ask/watch/do while at the factory getting their new owner spiel? I know I want to check out some attachments and soak up all the knowledge that I can, but I thought that some of you might have other suggestions as well. Thanks as always.

CHECK EVERYTHING!! Make sure that your new baby is free of defects BEFORE accepting, paying for, and leaving Tazewell!! Go over it like a fly over flypaper!!! Ask lots of questions, and do not accept vague answers!!

Buy as many attachments as you can. They are cheaper to deliver yourself, and the more you can do with your PT, the more you will use it, and the cheaper the overall cost!!

I hope you are getting at least 1 of the available buckets!! I wish I had ordered the forks as well......now I'll either fabricate a pair or wait until the delivery service is going to be in the area and piggy back on somebody else's shipment. Good luck with your new addition to the family...I'm starting to think my wife is getting jealous of Kermit(my 422)..........

As I write this note you are on your way to Tazewell. On your return we want an update on your trip and pictures if you can. Did you demo all the attachments? any new ones we need to hear about?
Good luck and have fun learning about your new purchase.

I actually demo'd implements with my 425, rather than the demo 425, to make sure it was operating. Make sure that the hydraulic oil cap is not already crossthreaded.
Leave yourself enough time to get implements added to the order. It took about an hour for them to pull and make ready the additional ones I chose to buy. Good luck.
