If the alternator has not produced power since it was rebuilt, then either it was not properly rebuilt or you have a problem in your electricals on the tractor. As Greg day, you need to get a voltmeter/multimeter and start tracking down the problem. You start wit the fuses, checking them with an ohmmeter (not just by eye), and then go on to the wiring. The good thing is that these systems are dead simple and most of the time the problem is a simple one like a bad connection where the negative battery cable connects to the frame, etc. The voltage regulator is generally more likely to go out than the alternator, but that's not an absolute.

Again, check the wiring diagram. Your Foton may or may not be wired like my KAMA, but replacing a blown 3A fuse as all it took to get mine charging again.

I have switched my ft404 to a rebuilt delco one wire. yes it must turn 1300 or more rpm to start charging but thats easy enough. I have delco 1 wires on most everything. because it works. cost me 70 or so for alternator then switch the pulley and homemade bracket.

Yep, like greg said, start with running voltage at the battery around 14+ volts. Also de-install and re-install the regulator module in it's receptical to help make sure it has a good electrical connection.

The alternator is probably the most complex system on these tractors.

Based on the anemic performance of my alternator, if it so much as hiccups it will be removed for a 2 wire alternator upgrade. It does operate, but it is right at the low end of what I consider acceptable charge voltage... A 2 wire unit would greatly simplify the wiring...
