I am getting the 1850 in a few weeks at most (deal is done, just working out my implement issue).

I had a bunch of questions for you in regards to the mowing you do and FEL lifting. I see you have a flail mower. Do you also have a brush hog? Which do you like better for brush? How has that item behaved in terms of service an reliability?

Also, do you have a grapple or anything like that?

I did not know you had to lift the hood to pour in diesel. that is kinda stupid.

Look forward to any and all notes you have about your machine.

I have to lift the hood on my PT425 to fuel. I like it for the fact that everything is protected under the hood.

I don't have a flail, I thought about getting one, the other pics here are a bobcat power rake. I have the bushhog.

Its not that bad lifting the hood, a fill up will last a good while and u can check the oil, etc. Because of my alternator conversion, I can check the oil from the side now. ;)

Get terry to install the little springs under the threadle pedals, I like mine set up like that.

I don't have a grapple. When u pick it up you could get a couple of the mounting plates. I had a friend fab. a three point adaptor, so I can use the 3pt blade, rake or middle buster.

The bush hog does good, we used to run a bobcat with a brush cat, it has skids and is hard to control. One bif secret of the Pts hill side capabilities is the draft which lifts up on the BH to transfer weight to the front end, it works good. Get extra blades, you'll need them. The bush hog can also be lifted up and used in really rough stuff.

Foe hills and rough areas, the PT can't be beat. I've been scared to death on a tracked Bobcat, and almost slid off hills, the PT easily will cross them. If its too steep it will just spin, as you steer up into the slope; if its over 50 degrees, you can just come down it. I bush hog a power companys dams, they are steep!

Just remember, the engine oil cooler needs to be cleaned a lot, or it will run hot.

Thanks for all the notes...

Springs are being attached (I did not know about them but the guy I got them from did and did it and many other things to upgrade the tractor on his own dime which was very, very cool of him).

I see in Sedgewoods site about making my own Blades as PT's are not that high quality. You do the same?

Glad to hear it is all working for you again.

I hadn't made my blades, if I can find someone to bore out the hole, then I'll probably go that route.
