These new Woods cutters would fit what I need, but my wallet is not as full as it used to be. I have been searching for some time now, and have several other mowers in mind, but want to choose wisely. I have some experience, but not enough, and would appreciate this groups knowledge. I have a JD4700 HST, 4x4, about 4 acres of open grass/brush I plan to create a planting area out of, about a mile of wooded trails I recently created with my 25-72 woods box blade that I plan to mow and keep clear, and have about 2 acres of lawn I would like to cut. I could try and combine all jobs to one cutter, but do not know if that is possible, without going with new model. I thought of going with a used 6' Bush Hog finish mower for the lawn, and used 5' or 6' heavier duty bush hog for the woods and open field. A new rotary cutter is more expensive vs the two mowers identified above, when combined cost is compared.
