hi there, i'm wondering if anyone has any experience (beyond biodiesel) with alternative fuel types for diesel. Specifically, anyone know anything (more than their website sez) about:
www.dieselsecret.com

Also, i'm thinking about:
www.greasecar.com

I'm trying to do as much research as possible about these alternatives before putting them into my diesels!!! Thanks! -art

Disregard the PM... As it seems no one will respond to your post...I will be the goat. Have requested the video link and manual. Will PM in a few days.

I recently came across this site.

Greasel Web Site

Lots of good info. I'm considering converting my '97 Ford Powerstroke.

Sorry, did't realize that it was you that made the post concerning the Diesel Secret stuff. I ran across a thread on my Fort Truck site about this product. Nobody there has used it either and they are quite skeptical about it. A couple have contacted them or tried to contact them. There is also a guy there who had 30k+ on his rig using the heated oil method with no problems yet. Unfortunately, I think that the fact that the truck has to heat the oil to 150 to 190 degrees before you start using the veggie stuff will rule it out for me. I make too many short trips. I will have look more into brewing the bio diesel. Here's a link to the site.....do a search on "Veggie" and you will find a lot of good info. The threads I have found are in the 7.3 Powerstroke section.

Hello Art
Received the package yesterday from Diesel Secret Energy. A small manual (36 pages 5 1/2 by 8 1/2) and a bottle of their product (which lists the ingredients as naptha and naptha derivitives). The video link is a 3 minute giggle that contributes little. No voice and some background music. The main content is how to promote yourself to obtain free or best priced used veggie grease. Page 23 shows a chart using reclaimed veggie oil in 5 gallon increments up to 50 gallons mixing in KEROSENE, UNLEADED GAS and Power Service(which is a product mixed here in my home town and sold at major truck stops and parts stores across the USA for cetane inhancement and injector cleaner). Plus, of course, a shot of DSE ADDITIVE. The package came from Lafayette, LA.
Have no intention of using this product or any of its recommendations.
Have chosen to send you this on this public forum instead of email because, after lurking here for about 4 months, gaining much knowledge, enjoying some (not all) honest conversations (those guys on Powertrac have an ego problem) this post might serve as a warning that this info is entirely to harsh to use in any diesel system (IMHO), and there fulfill some of my obligation to this forum. Grips! Thats all one sentence! Hope its understandable.
If you have more questions feel free to ask.
See you in the lurking.

Fred, thanks for the update. Seems like the DSE is a cookbook to create some kinda foul fuel!!! I'm with you, not sure i'd like to put grease, unleaded gas, kerosene, and power service into my diesels... oh well... we'll keep hoping for some kinda revolutionary change !! take care -art
