In pricing out 4x20 series tractors w/ 400x FEL, I've noticed someting. All of the quotes (1-4720, 1-4520, 2-4320) I have are for right around $28-29k, regardless of the model. Are the guys with the lower HP tractors trying to screw me? Or are the actual costs to the dealers the same for the whole series? Has anyone else noticed this?

As i remember it there's a reasonably significant spread between the models so the best way to go is to use the build and price on Deere's site, you should be able to get close on accesories and such and have a good idea of MSRP then you'll know who is trying to work with you.

Quick MSRP Build check shows roughly:
4120 - $22.1K
4320 - $23.9K
4520 - $25.5K
4720 - $28.3K
with absolutely no increase in price for anything.

So the difference is there in MSRP on JD's site. Maybe it is options? EHydro, SCVs, tire type, etc? Alsowhat is the price with the 400CX? How much more does that add?

If I remember correctly, My dealer's prices were spread out (4120-4720) less than $3000 when they first came out.

But if you think about it, the engines and most everything is the same. Maybe just a turbo boost for more HP and $$$ thing.
