Am I wrong to close my land to hunting....

I think your right overall. The thing that I find really sad is that for the most part I have zero respect for hunters. They have to earn it. I hunt but I no longer consider myself a hunter. It's almost become a four letter word. I prefer to associate with sportsman. The difference to me is that less than 15% (IMO) of all hunters are sportsman. A sportsman would never shoot a sapeling, leave his trash, sue his neighbor etc. I wish some of the greenies could see the bills and realize the amount of labor and $$ we put into our camp for years before a single deer was taken. Food plots, forestry, re-planting, QDM I think to most antis, and sadly to most 'hunters" theese are foreign concepts. The worst part of all in our society today seems to be right about the time you think you can trust someone you get stuck in the back. Call me jaded but state and federal land offers plenty of great hunting opportunity to those who don't own private lands. For me new laws would make no difference. I wish it were different.

See if you can join something like this.. They have several liability policys available. One for hunting, one for general liability. The price is right.
