- JD318, Power-Trac PT425 with scuffed-up green paint.
Hi guys,
At our home, we've been parking one of the cars outside since I own a PT425 and a JD318, with the JD318 parked in the garage. Frankly, I think cars tolerate being outside a lot more than tractors do.
Well, I got to thinking that since the PT is so nimble and maneuverable, and with the quick-attach on the front, I might be able to fit EVERYTHING down in our basement. Well, suffice to say, it FITS! By taking advantage of the articulation, and the fact that you can quickly move implements around using the quick-attach, I was able to stack all the stuff down in the basement, where I make a sharp left turn using the PT and then just start piling up everything on the cement floor.
With any other tractor, this would be impossible, because a normal tractor of this size and capability needs a lot more room, and cannot turn in such a small area, and the attachments can't be simply moved around and attached/removed/reattached so easily. I am quite pleased with myself, and my wife was quite surprised it all fit!
Note in the attachment that in order to fit into the basement, it is necessary for the tractor to make a sharp left turn - I don't think any other tractor of this capability can make that turn and thus, nothing else will fit! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Nothing earth-shattering, but I thought you guys would get a kick out of this...
Sincerely,
