I'm thinking about buying a larger blade for my RTV 500 ...when I bought the plow everyone recommended a 60"...after using it a season in storms well over a foot I'm sure I can push a lot more blade. The 66 or 72" American Eagle V plows have got my interest. Has anyone seen one in person here? I'm wondering if they have the ability to V in and make a cup for spillage clean up like a truck's V plow????

I'm extremely happy with the build quality and design of my 60" American Eagle state plow so I intend on sticking with that brand, they seem to be a good deal on a great product.

I've got the 72" for my 620i Gator and love it. It's heavy but the Gator has no trouble with the stock front shocks. From the factory it won't go in the inverted "v" position for clean-up work but it could easily be done. When the blade is in the straight position it is held in place with a bar on each side. One end is attached to the blade, the other to the push tube assembly. To put it in the "v" position all you do is remove a couple pins to reposition the bar and the blade folds into the "v" then reinstall the pins to hold it in place. If you want the inverted "v" all you would have to do is make some longer bars and put them on when needed. It wouldn't be any harder than switching between straight and "v" positions. Hope you can understand what I'm saying. If you do a search there is a thread with some good pics of one on an atv. It shows the the blade in both positions and the bars.

I finally got a chance to install my V-Plow today...it was 80+ degrees and I've made it a habit of only installing plows on days I will sweat

Just an update now that I've used the American Eagle V-plow a few times....it works excellent. The little 500 pushes snow like it's a tractor and the V-plow makes directing the snow a breeze. I have been able to make the plow scoop as well as go straight and V....makes cleaning up your spillage tracks quick and easy. For the price of the American Eagle plows I really don't think you can go wrong.
