If you're thinking Goucho is "Mexico wire" read the wrapper. it is a product of Breakard co. made in the USA. It is a class 3 wire meaning it has 3 times the galvanization of class 1 wires. I have used both and would (and do) buy Goucho even if it was $10 a roll MORE then others. I have fences I built 24 years ago that are still tight, and the wire still shines like the day I put it up.
I have an area where I used 12.5 gage regular wire 8 years age that is rusted and loose. The Goucho is a smaller gage but is a higher tinsle wire (it stays as tight as you pulled it when installed). but it IS a little harder to work with. However as much as material costs, and as labor intensive as this work is, I only want to do it one time!

You're right - I had my wires crossed (He-He). The Mexico wire that I have used is Range Master. The quandry resolved itself - when I went to pick up the wire there was no American-made available, so I bought the Mexican. It claims class 3 as well. You're experience with 12.5 gauge vs. 15.5 gauge is the same as mine.

Thanks for the help and take care.
