I have one of their cheap (about $100) dual voltage 160 amp stick welders I keep in my truck tool box with some 6011 for quick fixes. It works fine. I actually welded a thumb on a backhoe with it once too when I was re-organizing my shop and my other machines weren't setup, burned about 2lb of 1/8 6011 and 1/8 7018 with it basically non stop. It does not have the ocv that a "real" machine has though and it definitely keeps you honest with arc length. I would stay away from the generic chinese stuff for multi process machines though. More complicated = less likely to function.

My experience exactly, on 110 volt input it puts out 25.2 volts and at 220 volts it put out 26.4. That is not a lot more but enough to make a difference with ease in striking an arc and holding it. Mine has a 60 percent duty cycle at 160 amps, its max, which beats a lot of domestic machines.

I bought the 160 DC for small jobs around the house. Nice little welder, has done everything I needed it to do. the DC seems to strike a lot easier and hold the arc better than AC....at least that has been my experience.

I have a DR by Amico Tigweld 200D and it has been great so far. I have had it a couple years now and never any issues. This replaced my old tombstone welder that was too much to lug around.
