How would Amsoil work in a late model Hemi? It is suppose to run 5W20 since it has the multi displacment where the lifters drop out and it runs on 4 cylinders. They make a 5w20 so I would assume it would run fine.

I run Amsoil 0w20 in my Tundra, not variable displacement but a lot of other technology in there with the variable valve timing. I'm sure your engine would be happy with either the 5w20 or the 0w20.

It will love it! Just as long as you don't change the grade/weight of the oil, stick with 5W20 and it will be fine.

I talked with the local Amsoil guy and bought 7 quarts of 0w20 and a filter, for something like $90. He showed me a spec sheet where it would work fine in the car. It sounds like if you sign up for their "program" you get 25% off. I may go ahead and do it if it works out O.K. in my wifes car. I've got 3 vehicles and they all take 7 quarts. I doubt it will pay for itself, but its one less time I have to change the oil in a year, so I think it will be worth the convenience.
