I was wondering if anyone has tried Amsoil synthetic 10w-30/Sae30 oil.
I have a Kioti CK20HST with 120 hrs on it and was wondering if this oil would be worth the extra cost of $26.80 a gallon.
I will be changing the oil soon and would like to know if this is recommended by fellow tractor experts. Thanks

It is worth it for the extra protection and decreased wear.

If cost is the factor, it all depends on how much you use the tractor. If you are using it less than 100 hrs in a year, the oil would be good for a once a year oil change. it will flow well even during winter months.

You can take this oil beyond a normal 100 hrs if you are using a high quality filter such as Wix/Napa Gold, or any industrial grade filter.

The nice thing about this oil is that it has all the properties of being a straight weight 30 but meets the API classification for being a 10w30. We used it in a Cat D4 dozer with good results. That Cat was really put thru the paces on a daily basis in some pretty high ambient temperatures.

It is a good product. If you are going to use it and other products from Amsoil, make sure you sign up for the preferred customer program to get the dealer price and save about 15-20% off the retail cost if you haven't already.
