I run the HDD 5W-30 in my 2004 GMC 5.3L gas, change once a year, every Nov just before winter, approx. 10-12000 miles use (drive a car also). Put it in at 2000 miles and now 25,000. Has not used one drop of oil.
Its one of their best oils. But that said, I know of 5 guys (ATV buddies and business contacts) who use the 15W-40 AME in thier trucks, 2 are fords, 2 are Dodges and one is a 04 Duramax and we are in Northern Michigan. 3 of them claim thier mileage jumped about 2 mpg with the switch and several are going on yearly oil changes excpet the 2 DOges guys who run a lot of miles in one year (atv dealers). One of the SDF350 is pushing 125,000 miles, 1 Dodge had nearly 200,000 miles on the AME.
