I am wondering if anyone out there is familiar with Rudolph Gunnerman? About 12 yrs. ago he came up with a way to convert gasoline and diesel engines to instantaneously change a mixture of up to 80% water and 20% naptha plus some detergent into hydrogen fuel. He actually had a bus run in Reno, Nevada for about 6 months to demonstrate how his engine worked, and Caterpillar Corp. was actually under license to produce engines that ran on that mixture of fuel. Mr. Gunnerman was also Discovery Magazine's man of the year a number of years ago, but it seems like everthing has gotten really quiet lately. I know his engine worked and it worked well, because he had to demonstrate it to the patent office. If anyone would like they can go to www.uspto.gov and type in the patent # 5156114 on the search. The last half of the patent is the most interesting part, because it gives the information on what was demonstrated to the patent office, along with the different mixtures in different engines, output of power, etc. and it also tells the different types of fuels he used in his converted engines, such as 50% alcohol, 50% water, up to 80% water, 20% alcohol, etc.. and it also describes how to convert and run an engine on his mixture, which did not seem all that difficult to do, it seems that converting an old Kohler engine on a riding mower might be easily feasable.
