540K miles on same engine makes me wonder what all has been done to it over the years and miles. Engines didn't have the service life then that they do now. I would think it has had a couple sets of rings, bearings and valves at least.

I'm sure she has it all recorded in her notebook Quite a story anyway you look at it though.
