When I purchased my 1554, I also bought the triple bagging system, for around $300-$400. When I moved, somehow I lost two of the bags. Now, mind you, the bagging system consists of the blades (see my last post), the lower chute, upper chute, the dome, the lower brackets that hold the bags, and the three bags themselves. When I went to buy the two replacement bags (JUST the bags), it cost right at $200.

I got ripped off, right? I was furious! Is this a CC price gouge, or did the dealer rip me off?

I think that is just standard practice for lots of things anymore. Buy parts or pieces of something and you pay through the nose. Sometimes it is just wiser to buy a whole new unit and then you will have spare parts if you need them later. I remember reading years ago about someone (with lots of spare time) pricing every part on their car, would cost them 3 or 4 times what it would cost to just go buy a new car.

That is crazy. The dealer is ripping you big time my friend. The bags, even with some dealer mark-up over list, shouldn't be over $50.00 a piece. The part number for the bags is 964-0251...list on the bags is $38.15 a piece. Mind you most dealers have some mark-up above this, but nowhere close to what you are talking about!! Its ashamed you are having to deal with this. I'll be glad to ship them to you for list prices plus freight. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
