Angle of operation

If I'm not mistaken, I think equipment made to work on grades like that have a pickup that will swing/swivel to keep it immersed in the end where the oil is.

I suppose the two things I would worry about are:

1. Constant operation at an angle that would prevent the oil pump from picking up oil.

2. The oil pump losing its prime and never working after that.

Thanks fellows for the replies. Appreciate all of them. I am going to have my tractor in the shop after new year and will talk to the foreman there about it.

On the cat D7e the transmission would lose oil before the engine did. so it would just stop moving when angles got too great. Still kinda sucked getting pulled out of places it should drive out off.

My points being, how much damage is measurable damage or how much damage can an engine sustain and keep running so that we think it is not damaged? Will an occasional oil issue really do long term damage or shorten the life of a unit? Who knows

If a man has an opinion and his wife isn't there to hear it is he still wrong? :D
