Someone made a comment a while back about bizarre things that tend to happen when Herr Luginbuhl and I get together. This time he came in to show off his new topdress spreader, and while he was here, he aerated and topdresed part of my lawn. He would have topdressed more, but I got the 1845 thoroughly stuck in a wet compost pit. The 425 wouldn't get it out, and my pickup wouldn't move itself in the slick stuff, let alone pull. After breaking one rope, we used several lengths of chain and destroyed a tow strap running it through an offset snatch block and got the 1845 back up on the road with Hans's diesel Dodge truck.
I thought I'd post this before he gets a chance to - and before he gets to say he wanted me to take pictures, but I wasn't really in the mood at the time to chronicle my incompetence.
In case anyone wonders, you can, in fact, get a PT stuck - and if it's in a pit full of horse manure, some people find it entertaining. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
