Another CK30 chain question

For '05 R1 Tires rear I've had great vbar cross chains from tirechains.com for a few years, but not been able to find any cross chains for the front 7-14's

Any hints.

The best chains I found and which I ordered from tirechains.com were:

1 GTV7-14-2 7.00-14 2 link V-Bar priced per pair $101.84 $101.84

These are just straight across, but every two links, and with v-bars. Better would be something like the rears, with the different cross link arrangement so they stay out of the ribs.

Ordered them Sun nite, shipped yesterday noon, they are on UPS supposed to be delivered today! Again these I hope fit 7-14 ck30 front tires.

I use what you described on my front Industrial tires and they work good but I imagine they will hide a little on Ag tires. I haven't seen the deuo=grips for the front either. I guess I'd rather have the rears do most of the work and the chained fronts just assisting. Might make for terrible steering too with duo-grips.

did you receive your chains yet? If so have you tried them out.. I assume you are itchin to try them out with the snow we are getting this Wed morning. I ordered mine on Monday surprising the shipment was to be delivered yesterday but, no UPS man showed up... maybe today I'll see them.

hey thanks for asking! the chains were on the ups truck for delivery tuesday morning and i was going to have them delivered to a neighbor with a clear driveway, but somewhere on the way here they declared a weather emergency and then we got this second big snow, so i'll get them next week i guess.

good point about the less agressive chains on the front.

got the chains today, they are lighter duty than the rears for sure, but do give a 20% increase in traction overall i bet:

Mine are lighter duty also, maybe 3/16 to 1/4 link chain but they do make a big difference for the front, especially steering when it's icy or hardpacked. What I liked was that you don't feel any bouncing/bumping up front and if you spin, no jerking in the steering wheel.
