I have a JD 5105 with 522 loaded that is acting up.
The curl circuit has been a little stiff with the colder weather but with our blizzard and temps down in the single digits it just won't respond. When I try to curl the bucket the stick won't move. It'll dump just fine. I assume its the cable that connects the control to the valve but haven't been able to get out there and take it apart. I have water lines in the house and a well that's frozen so those get priority. Any one have any ideas?

In the colder climates we are use to things freezing up. Some of the quick and fast penetrating lubes should work. WD 40 is quick and nasty but it does not last. Then you can chase that with oil, spray on lube with a carrier ,thin spray grease with a carrier.

Thanks, I'll give that a try tonight. I'll let you know how things work out.

Thanks Craig. That did trick. I guess I need to add lubing the cables to my maintanence schedule.

Use Fluid Film, it will last MUCH longer than any other lubricant will.

Thanks KennyD. I used a penentrant/lube spray I had on hand. Once it warms up a bit I'll clean both cables and give it a try.
