Happy Holidays to all! Have not been up here for a while, so hello to all those regulars who I have posted with in the past and welcome to all the new members.

I just completed construction of a small cabin on my property and I could not have done it without my Mahindra 6000. Its use started with excavating the ground, spreading the gravel, etc. Then I built a 20 X 20 deck on the ground next to it and put the bottom sheeting on it. I then used the loader to flip it over on the foundation posts. I use the loader to set the walls, the gable ends, and man what a help on getting the shingles on the roof and keeping them and me up there. I guess the point is that until you have a good tractor and FEL and put it to use, you really don't know what you are missing.

By the way, anyone heard any more about the 75 hp Mahindra?

I can sympathize with the shingles on the roof!! I was never so mad as the day a few years back when I went to my 15 acres that I was building my shop on prior to moving there. I had started on the shingling and ran out of shingles the night before. It was Saturday morning and I headed to the lumber yard and bought 8 square of shingles to put up on the west side. Got to the property and the gate was open, thought at first that the wife had stopped out to get some plants, then noticed that my trailer was not where I had left it and all the stuff that was on it was on the ground!! Pulled down to the shop building and there sat the boxblade, right where it had been when it was hooked to the tractor. The theives had unhooked the boxblade and used the IH404 to drag the trailer up to the gravel drive, hooked it to a truck, loaded the tractor and left! The tractor sans FEL and trailer were located at an auction a month later, got them back, but never saw the FEL again. The worst part was, I had to carry those 24 bundles of shingles up a ladder to finish the roof. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif To add insult to injury, I had only given $1800 for the tractor/FEL and it cost me another $2500 to put another FEL on it, but once you own one you won't ever want to be without one! Oh yeah, congrats on your cabin!! Chet
