Grapple Another Grapple-if ya'll can stand it!

Just picked up a new grapple yesterday.

Man, is it a monster! Top arms are 5/8" thick, everything else including the tines are 1/2". It's made by a company called LESCO. It was sitting on my local JD dealers lot. Had to change the couplers, as it had ag fittings on, and I needed flat face.
Got to try it out today, and it's a keeper!!!

Don't know about the weight, I've emailed LESCO to see what they tell me. Based on similar units, I bet it's close to 1000 pounds

Here are the specs they sent me:

Base Material:

Upper Jaw
The outer tines are 5/8" AR400 plate. The short inner tines are 1/2" AR400 material.
The cross tube is 3 x 3 x 3/8" tube.

Lower jaw
All of the tines on the lower jaw are from 1/2" AR400 material.
The balance of the material on the unit is A36 material.
All of the tines upper & lower are on 6 centers.

The cylinders are 3 bore x 8 stroke.
The cylinder rod is 1 1/2"
The approximate weight is 900 lbs.

Sure won't tear it up!!

Man I must be getting old , never thought I would be lusting over a grapple ! Is that a skid steer you mounted it on ?

No, It's on my JD 110 TLB. Truth be told, it's plenty heavy for it, but I'm sure it will be fine for me. Worst case, I can always buy a bigger tractor!! :laughing:

You will likely be disappointed though, no info on attachments. I think it's something they do to keep busy. Not really their core business.
