Either way it's rather entertaining...
and reminds me of the tale of the hunter who shot a buck, laid his rifle in the antlers for a photo op... and watched the deer run off with his rifle.

I don't know if I believe it or not, but it is within the realm of possibility. Beavers drag pretty big logs around to eat the bark, and to use in dam construction. He could have done it if he wanted to.

I don't know, but it would be funny as heck if the gun reappeared stuck in a dam or lodge during a dry spell next year. :laughing:

I would think the beaver would give up on dragging the gun very far once in the water. Trees are buoyant, gun barrels, not so much.
