Great Tractor. Neil Messick rocks!
Cut it out, you'll give him a big head and he'll start taking bigger cuts :D
Neil's a good guy. I pestered him with LOTS of questions over a couple of months, didn't seem to mind, wasn't pushy about the sale, and didn't miss any of the fine details which is a sticking point w/me. Can't beat that.

I just love coming to this tread to look at thing. I so want that Backhoe on my 7800 but it will have to wait other things more pressing like my wife’s built in pool. That was the deal I got my Tractor and she gets her pool. As long as I don't have to bury a horse I can live with out it for a year.

Very nice. Backhoe looks great! (Whole setup look's great!) Perfect with thumb and two bucket's. Have you tried the adjustable swing speed yet? That's a nice feature. Hope you have lot's of fun working with your new machine!

Explain to her how with the backhoe you can excavate the pool, thereby saving $$$ to help pay for the backhoe.:D

Thanks Curt! Yep, I started out with it near "tortoise", but now that I'm getting the hang of it, edging toward "hare". I do wish it also regulated the boom up/down, which to me moves way faster than any other cylinder. Gets a good pucker goin' when you see that big hunk of iron comin' up at you a tad quick :)
I've been having a ball ... except when the wife sees me. Then I wipe the drooling grin off my face and try to look real serious, hot and worn out... you know, like working all those powered hydraulic controls is hard labor. ;)

sweet, i need to get me one of them there backhoes, sounds like you're having a ball!! what am I doing this weekend with my tractor? parking it in the shade and taking some time off, we're having record heat waves here and no rain in sight for at least 10 days.. welcome to the Pacific NW in July. No A/C and no rain, all my grass is turning brown, and i've lost 5 lbs today just sitting here.. ok, i suppose i'll at least start the beast up and take it for a spin down the road.. gotta keep the parts lubed.

cheers,
bigballer

I think our wives were separated at birth... uncanny... I had to convince her that when we expand the house, the money saved digging & backfilling our own basement & footers will help pay for it, plus offer to give up some of "my" other future purchases I had planned, PLUS convince her how the BH is the only key to some of her landscaping dreams. She bought it... but not without eyeing me the whole time like I was the Unabomber applying for a UPS job. So now I make a little extra show of using the BH for stuff it isn't completely necessary for, so that she's reassured its purchase was justified.
Thank goodness she has no interest whatsoever in this website! :D

That is so true, My wife has no intrest in the internet at all and I kind of like it that way. She seems to know when I'm full of ****, I guess after 22 years they kind of learn all your tricks. I have been working on the tractor thing for a couple of years now. I think she just gave up so I would stop being a pest about it
