well i finally did it, and i want to thank all who helped. what a great website and great people.
tractor was delivered on 29 oct. to date i have put about 8 hrs on it... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
L3130 HST 4WD w/ filled R4s, folding ROPS, block heater, and rear work light
LA 723 FEL quick attach w/ USED M1037 72" bucket (from L48) w/bolt on cutting edge and bucket hook
Woods HBL 84-2 7' HD rear blade
Woods GB72 6' box scraper
USED Woods XT160 5' brush cutter, maybe used a dozen times, almost new
Woods tooth bar (on order)
couple quarts of hydro fluid and engine oil
5 gallons of diesel and fuel can
$23,000 (i felt dealer was a little on the high side, even for this region)
some reasons i chose kubota over the others:
1-kubota dealer gave me no-nonsense pricing from the start on specific items, even though he was on the high side, other dealers gave me a 'ballpark' price on non-specific items, kinda a 'bait and switch' tactic
2-kubota dealer moves a lot of new and used inventory (more than the rest), and focuses on CUTs, also his lot was well organized
3-kubota dealer has been around for long time and i received good feedback from some local kubota owners. regarding the others, there has been some 'talk' that the new JD dealer wont make it, (they r new to tractors and bought dealership to try to re-establish name). CASE is mainly selling ag tractors, not as much focus on smaller cuts. NH pricing was higher and they only wanted to sell you what they thought you needed, felt more like a car dealership.
4-kubota felt and looked like a 'real' tractor, more mechanical etc
5-and the most important reason....the first tractor i can remember was my g-pa's ORANGE allis chalmers.... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
thanks again for all the help
