Hi y'all,
I am Mike and live in Northern Oregon for about a year now. I am looking for my first (and last) all-purpose tractor: a little bit of construction, maintenance and mostly farming. I have about 3 acres usable for vegetable farming, including some hill sides. My joints and bones took quite some beating over time. So I need help to get the tasks done.

Following my dad's dream I started looking at JD first, but related to the price tags I am looking at other brands too.

I am looking forward to being part of the tractor owner community.

Cheer
Mike

I recently shopped for a tractor to maintain my hilly homestead, and ended up with a Kioti DS3510. A lot of bang for my bucks. Closest dealer to Klamath Falls is:

:welcome:
To TBN Mike from another mike. You will get everyone pushing their tractor, but before buying one, go test drive it first. The more you test, the more you will understand what you need and are comfortable with. Good Luck on the hunt and keep us posted as you go. Pictures are always appreciated.

G'day and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

Of course there's a wee bit of Colour Pushing, it's only natural. But the suggestions are generally honest on this site and we don't tend to 'bag' the other makes/models.

Determine what tasks you're going to use this tractor for, then try and go for a slightly larger [hp] rig. Try out many tractors. Talk to your neighbours about their machines AND who are the best dealers. Dealer reputation goes a loooong way.

I say this because because, although getting your tractor & implements at a great price is a one-off thing... Dealer SERVICE is a long-term thing. Sort of a pay-now or pay later situation.

Good luck and we (TBN) will help when we can.

Thanks Wagtail.

I understand the dealer/service suggestion. Unfortunately, we do not have many options in town or near by.

I contacted 10 dealers via fax and email and received three proposals only. 1 Deere and 2 LS Tractor. And neither provides any details about the attachments they proposed. A dealer I visited never came back to me.

That takes the good service option far away from me.

Seems no one is interested in my business.

Anyway, Thanks for the welcome note.

Cheers

Hi Teachu2,

Would you mind to let me know what you paid for your DS3510 and what configuration you bought.

Thanks

$18,283 with loader and Rhino BX66 66" box scraper, plus state taxes and fees. Dealer filled all four tires with water and delivered it for free. I'm about 35 miles out of town.
