Another No Start and Easy Fix

Got up at 0400 yesterday to run the GC1720 with snowblower up and down the road. Everything worked fine, went into town, came back and it was still snowing so I decided to make a other pass on the road. Starter would not crank. Turns out the PTO neutral safety switch was iced up and stuck in the wrong position. Just poked it with a ball point pen and it was fine. A simple fix that took me half a day to figure out.

BTDT! Went through that with my 2310 a few years back... After going through EVERY safety switch --several times!-- somebody suggested I look at the ground strap. Yep, that was it, a 10-minute temporary fix so I could get back to blowing snow.

Bob, you Tahoe/Washoe guys getting much snow this year? We've had some good falls, but interspersed with roller-coaster temps leading to rain and then going below zero again.... Yuck.

U wanna talk about "Roller Coaster"?? 75* yesterday.. 78* today & 54* on Saturday..
Y'all have fun blowin snow.. & I'll work on my garden tiller.. before the "cold snap" rolls thru.. Lol

We’re getting more snow than average so far but not really getting hammered. This is the second year with the GC1720 and snowblower and it makes the snow almost something to look forward to. It was 10F this morning which is cold for here. Garden tiller? Buried in snow for now!

That same phenomena has happened to me since I got my GC1710 w/snowblower. I too look forward to it snowing. The wife says I'm nuts!
