Greetings from Maine. After looking around for some time, I just replaced my late 80's Craftsman 15.5hp 38" Hydro with an old 2001 JD LT133. I've been watching Craigslist and other local sources for deals, check some fall clearance prices at dealers, but with a small lawn to mow, decided to go for the old iron in hopes it will prove as durable as I've read about. I already miss the bagger on my old mower but saw a new setup listed at $495 for the LT133 which is nearly what I paid for the mower. Would love to find a deal on a used bagger from a dead LT133. But other that that, it cuts well, starts great looks great for it's age. Found the mod on here about disabling the reverse cutting switch and plan to do that. I hope to be able to do most of the maintenance myself. Haven't looked around yet, but wonder if there are stickys for routine stuff on certain model series.

Thanks to those who run and manage this forum. I hope I can contribute to the knowledge base in time, and will be reading the posts here for those valuable little nuggets that can save time and money.

Regards,
Don
