For his ingenuity I have to give it to him. Sticking your hands in that unit, no way in h*ll you'd see me doing it. If he cut out the bottom of the bale chute it would unload the wood automatically. Don't think it would take much more to automatically load a new block if he rigged something up on the side of the plunger.
I'm with charlie C, I'd like to see if that flywheel would handle a nice chunk of oak or apple before it came to belt screaching halt.
