Another r/c track build

My brother and I built another r/c track. This time it was for a local club called the mid michigan dirt diggerz. I'm sorry, we forgot to get pics of the equipment working. This track was built by a new holland L175 skid loader, a plate compactor, and a couple of guys sweating their a$$es off using rakes and shovels! The club is going to but down tubing and that'll really show the shape of the track.

Man, this thread takes me back to 1988-90 . . . My buddy and I used to build tracks (by hand ) and of course r/c cars to race on a 1 acre patch of land that covered my parent's leach field. Not sure how much racing we ever did, but we did have some wicked (I'm from Boston) berms, a table top, and a couple of nice bump sets. Not as smooth as what you guys got going on, but it seemed pretty sweet at the time , and gave me an excuse to take up dip, snuff, and smokes . Eventually the tabletop evolved into a pitchers mound, a hairpin left into home plate with a backstop, and we strung a set of five 400w lights for night time use. . . . .
