Yes that's the correct report, it did break in half. So far he is still in serious condition.

Something odd about how things ended up - I owned a tractor like that and I swear the cab mountings are to the transmission/axle and only connection from cab to the front are through hoses and wires, yet the cab ended up staying with the front. ROPS cab structure intact which would have protected the driver but what a horrible pounding he would have had in the cab, especially if he wasn't belted in. Makes me think twice about using a seat belt - I mean I am only going down the road, why do I need a belt?

Hi bumpkin.........Heck i hate to even go a mile to neighbors for a little mowing etc. now and then. It's blacktop/two way with little shoulder, and drivers pass as though I wasn't even there, giving little clearance or slowing none.

While on a public highway, you can be the most careful and safety conscious driver on the road, but fate can still take a turn for the worse and be completely unavoidable on your part. No matter what you are driving. Sadly, it happens every day. Innocent lives are lost in an instant without a warning.
