I have noticed of late that when getting above 2100 rpm while mowing with a MMM that there is a vibration that I can feel even in the steering wheel. The Gator blades were purchased just last August and I have pumped the grease zerks to the point I'm cleaning up excess grease from the pulleys now after mowing when I clean the tractor up. If I stay ay 2100 or under there is little if any vibration. Has anyone else encountered this with a 7610? The mower deck is a RCK54-24B.

try staggering your blade positions so they are all in different parts of their rotation. Not too much grease or youll blow the seals.

I was just considering ordering Gator blades for my RCK54-24B and I'd appreciate your advice. Do you recall the part number of the Gator blades for that mower deck? Did you need to add bushings? Was the vibration you describe *not there* when using the stock mower blades?

Thanks,
Rick

One of the gatorblades (gb's) could be out of balance. Unfortunately the best way to troubleshoot this problem is to replace the gb's with your old std blades and see if it does the same. If the trouble goes away then one (or more)of the gb's is out of balance. If the trouble stays then you could have a spindle problem.

The gb's on my 60" MMM are very smooth and I run my BX23 at around 2900 -3000 rpm when mowing.

Odd's are one of the gb's may have hit something and it is out of balance or perhaps even loose.
If it's just a nick or two they can be filed down and rebalanced.
Good luck

Milo,

I'll look up the gator blades part numbers for you today. I did not need any bushings to add them to my deck. I did not have any vibration with the blades until recently. I'm going to pull the deck off tonight and look for problems and I'll update this tread after doing that.
