Any deer in the FEL pictures?

I got this one with a shotgun, no rifle hunting allowed around here. got him at 18 yds. Should have had my bow! I'm sure you could always barrow a gun from someone else and hunt. Don't you have more than one gun?? I wouldn't miss getting out there and harvesting for anything! I told my friends that I would be done by 9:00, had him hanging before 8:30! Plus no dragging, he died right on one of the tractor trails in the woods! That was the best part of the hunt! Von

Hey Von, you are supposed to give me inspiration, not depress me! Only kidding....that sure is a healthy looking deer. Well, I am still deerless. I am just not seeing any bucks coming by my stand. One of my neighbors called me the other day to talk about fishing, and our conversation soon turned to deer hunting. I told him where I thought all the deer were, since they weren't coming by me. 2 days later he comes by with a nice 10 pointer and tells me that they were right where I thought they might be. On top of that, he was originally watching a larger buck...that slipped away. He claimed it might be a 12 pointer. To further add insult to injury, he claims the deer he shot ran down a tractor road and fell just a few feet from his truck...he hardly had to drag at all. Do deer hunters lie as much as fishermen? I don't know, but I couldn't dispute the fact that indeed the deer was in the back of his truck and had to get there somehow. Thanks for sharing the picture.

Sort of hurts me to see you are not doing your duty and working on the Mog...

Anyway, that is a nice buck you got there.

This morning I happened to read that in Pennsylvania alone over 60,000 deer are hit by cars each year, resulting in a number of fatalities (human, not deer).

I used to get PA Game News magazine. When I moved up to NH I started to get the NH equivalent (high gloss mag - not nearly the charm of PA Game News). I recall noting that PA had more roadkill than NH harvested during the hunt.
