If you can wait until Thanksgiving Northern Tool usually has free shipping for orders placed that weekend. They also have some % off discounts.

Has anyone been able to make a "deal" with a Northern Tool Manager? I've used fair coupons before and all they do is take it off a the register. No special scanning or manager's approval. I've seen a log splitter sitting at this store for 2 years now and it's never moved, just thought I could say hey 10% off and I'll take it.

Actually, I just went over there last week and checked. The model I was looking for MSRP $2499 was dicontinuded and the new model was $300 more. Got the store manager to look in there inventory web site and found one at the area distribution center and could have it here in 3 days.

And the dicountinued price was $1999.... yippy!!
