The 3T80 in the JD850/YM2500/YM2610/and other YMs of the 3T80 share many engine parts with the JD950 3T80. Wonder if the 3T84 has a mix of both the 3T80 and 3T90?
I have had a 336d for over 20 years. A reliable tractor for the most part. Some of the early models had weaker spindles, the later were larger and I upgraded after I broke one. If, as with many tractors, you mow in high weeds/chaff etc. you have to watch the radiator or it clogs up and can get hot. Just have to keep it clean.
My axles leaked at the seals, I replaced them years ago. Not too big of expense but my father in law was a retired heavy equipment mechanic so that really helped.
It is a good starting tractor even in the very cold for the most part and fuel efficient. About a gallon an hour.
Hope that helps some. If you have more questions I only visit this site a couple times a month so I could miss future questions.
