Stumbled across a Yanmar 165 in the local classifieds today. 750 hrs, they say good condition. I looked at the specs on that tractor and I'm pretty sure that it is a North American model? So I assume parts wouldn't be that hard to come by? Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. The price was low... real low. I told them I'd like to look at it after work tommorrow. I'll be bringing cash so I need to find out anything I "really need to know" before then.

I do know the basic specs on the tractor and I beleive this to be a non-grey machine. Any other info or corrections to what I've stated is very appreciated.

Just sounds too good to pass up.

And it has a precleaner. I'm gonna look for a couple of those for my Mits and Satoh.

Not much known about that US model; however you can't go wrong with any Yanmar in good shape. Don't put too much faith in the 750 hours, the odometer probably only goes to 999. Check it over carefully and operate it as much as possible before reaching for your wallet.

Thanks guys. Not sure if it'll be today that I look at it... the weather might not cooperate.

Good call on the hourmeter... but even if it's 1750, 2750, or whatever... I'm not really worried about it... as long as it's in sound condition.

I don't need the tractor... I'd just like to have one to tinker with then maybe resale down the road. I think the price is very reasonable... anyone have an estimate at what they think it might be worth. This is considering it is in ok working condition and not overly ugly. I'll keep the price to myself for now so not to influence anyone else's thoughts.

So it definately is a US model.... what about getting parts if I needed to?

Thanks guys.

I wouldn't go over $1,500 in good condition. Get parts from any Yanmar tractor parts dealer.
